On Tuesday May 12th, the second year students at St. Marys went on their Geography Fieldtrip to Killarney with their Geography teachers. They started out by exploring the features of glacial erosion at the stunning Gap of Dunloe where they also enjoyed a very scenic walk. Next the students explored Muckross House and Gardens and were encouraged to consider the importance of tertiary activities in the area as they did so. Finally the students visited Torc Waterfall to observe features of river erosion. There were a few showers on the day but they certainly didn’t dampen the high spirits of this enthusiastic bunch of girls! A wonderful day was had by all!
